Sonam’s dream of making her parents proud
Born to a mediocre family in Delhi’s Karol Bagh, Sonam lived an average life. Her father runs a bookshop and mother a homemaker. She was always an intriguing girl next door. Having completed her education from St. Xaviers School, graduation in finance from Hansraj College, she pursued Masters in Mass Communication. But, the little girl had a dream to do something special. Sonam stepped into the world of anchoring accidentally. Despite all the odds, with support and encouragements from friends and family she blossomed.
She is more than just a pretty face
Sonam Chhabra, the anchor rose from scratch to making it to the stars. And she is now one of the epitomes of women empowerment. She has hosted multiple prestigious national and international programmes over the last decade. Her television talk show Safar Kamyabi Ka had witnessed a huge success. She has hosted over a record 1000 shows globally and is the official anchor for Badminton India.
From speaking at TEDx, walking the ramp to performing in theaters and doing a Bollywood movie Kirket, she is also pursuing Ph.D in Mass communication. This big-eyed beauty is born to be a unique name in this corporate events host industry. In several interviews she has mentioned that “the stage has helped me discover and rediscover myself time and again.” Well, apart from all this she is an avid traveler who runs a blog named The Wandering Artist.
Her progress is an all-out adventure
Hosting a product launch event to shinning in theatre, Sonam has broken away from the stereotype clutters and sculpted her journey. Acquiring this aura was not a cake walk for her. However, her positivity and hard work glorified her path. She is looking at broadening her horizon and contribute to cinema in a meaningful way.
